Sorrento for water between music and ethnic dance

March 25 took place in Piazza Lauro a concert of music and ethnic dance group .... of Burkina Faso, under the project "Plant water in Angola", sponsored by the Education, Youth, in collaboration with the Association VAS, Youth Forum, Green Cross. The City takes a long time the campaign against the privatization of water resources, and this year joined the fundraising Smile Factory aimed at water supply in Angola. As the face of this initiative the group has performed faye du Burkina, we interviewed the president, Joseph.
How is this group?
Our group was founded in 2000, we have four singers and four dancers, who wish to show our culture and our traditions, to communicate, we have begun to travel the world bringing to all, through our dancing, our desire to live.
What are your performances? We do
4 dance accompanied by song, every dance is tied to a particular moment in the life of civil society in our country. Among them there is a funeral dance, which is a parting from loved at the time of burial, and a dance that makes you think just before the King in person.
Yours is a people with ancient traditions, which expresses his communication skills through music and dance, better than any other means. What do you think of our traditions, the traditions of Sorrento?
I was born in Burkina Faso, live for many years to Sorrento. Sorrento is a wonderful place to see, has priceless beauty, but beyond that I see that what is missing is a system, a network that connects the different cultures here than anywhere else they meet, mingle ... but nothing remains of this meeting, as well as the economic contribution that necessarily resulting therefrom.
In Italy there are many festivals in which the various peoples multietnci communicate and exchange culture. There's nothing like this, young people are often left to their own and do not know the meaning of a tribal dance to a dirge, not even remotely what it means healthy. The idea that the commissioner Rosario Fiorentino is helping me and that gave all availability is to establish a school where young people can learn about the traditions and rhythms of different cultures.
Your performance is linked to the water problem in the so-called poor countries, what do you think of the problem of water management?
I think it is important, water is life is an indispensable element for us ... .. is because we do not need great wealth or luxury ... we live in air, sun and earth ... water ... we are happy ... just that we need ... do not waste the resources of creation.
